Bob was born in Conwy, North Wales, and spent his formative years near Snowdonia. Inspiration for his early stills photography and sketches came from the landscape that surrounded him. Enrolment in a London night-school class enabled Bob to experiment with the moving image with generous encouragement from the likes of Sir Richard Attenborough and Tony Imi.

Bob has gone on to become a highly regarded commercials and promos DP. He spent three years as chairman of the jury for the Best Cinematography at the BTACA (‘03, ‘04, ‘05), a member of D&AD since ‘99 and a member of BAFTA since ‘03. His work has received a number of industry awards including a Golden Lion, D&AD Gold and Creative Circle’s Cinematography Gold.
